News from LCHS
Reminders: No school Thursday, April 26th, school cancelled
No school Friday, April 27th, teacher professional development/work day
No school Monday, April 30th
As a reminder, school is closed for tomorrow due to the many staff taking their personal days to go and advocate for more funding for schools at the state level. We love having school every day, but we are grateful to our teachers who want to exercise their democratic rights to push for more support for schools. We look forward to getting back to work after the long weekend and finishing the year strong.
We will run summer school again from June 4th-21st. Crew teachers will be reaching out and letting you know if your child is failing any classes that may result in summer school. They will be scheduling meetings as needed this week and next. Please plan to have your students in summer school if they fail any core class, especially Math and English, over the next few weeks.
High school yearbooks are on sale! The cost is $40. Come to the main office to purchase your yearbook.
7th and 8th grade science students in Ms. Hokkanen’s class will spend the school day outdoors at Hayden Meadows on May 15th. They will take water quality samples and identify ecological factors that influence a healthy system. As your students will be outdoors much of the day, please ensure they wear adequate (warm) clothing layers, bring a backpack, closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a water bottle.
