News from LCHS
Dear LCHS Families & Community:
As we approach the end of the first quarter of school, October 12th, we are excited and looking forward to parent/teacher conferences coming up this month! Your students’ Crew teachers will be reaching out to you regarding conferences soon. If you don’t hear from Crew teachers, be sure to reach out to them. School is going really well so far and students are engaging in strong learning and exciting extracurricular activities!
Panther of the Week: Mara Green – Mara is an excellent student who always tries her hardest and produces her best work. She is an attentive listener and takes suggestions to heart because she wants to get better. Mara is a valued member of our community and a good friend to all.
Please remember to nominate students for the great work and character they show in our community. Please use this link to nominate. A group of alumni, parents and students vote each week on the nominees.
If your family has not yet applied for Free and Reduced Price school meals and you wish to apply, please return an application form as soon as possible to Leslee Torsell at the LCHS main office. You can pick up a form at any school office, or follow this link to download a form from our website: https://www.lakecountyschools.net/for-families/nutrition/nutrition-application/
LCSD Facilities Master Plan Community Meeting & Free Dinner! Flyer attached!
The Lake County School District has started a facilities master planning process. A master plan is a tool that school districts use to plan for the future of their school buildings and other physical spaces. The LCSD master plan will provide an 8-10 year road map for ensuring that students have safe 21st century learning environments at all levels of learning. The plan will include and be responsive to projections for how the district’s enrollment, priorities and program needs will change over time. You are invited to hear an update on the planning process so far and to provide input on our next steps.
