News from LCHS
Please join us for one of our Back to School Nights. We will be presenting on two different nights, one in English and one in Spanish. For English, come on Wednesday, September 4th from 7-8pm. For Spanish, come on Thursday, September 5th from 7-8pm. The purpose of our Back to School Night presentation is to give you important information about our programming (like our graduation pathways and partnership with CMC), as well as some of our policies (like attendance and grades). We hope this will help you better support your child through his or her years with us, as well as strengthen our partnerships with one another. The presentation will be in the high school auditorium. We hope you will join us.
Sincerely,
Ben Cairns
LCHS Principal

Also, the hospital parking lots are not through streets. Please do not cut through the hospital parking lots between 4th St. and 6th St. We look forward to a safe construction project, thank you for your cooperation! SVGH

The State of Colorado allows teens to begin driver’s education at 14 ½. Any teen under the age of 15 ½ must complete a 30 hours certified driver’s education course. (A teen between 15 ½ and 16 is required a 4 hours Driver Awareness course – or the 30 hours course.)

- Our online course increases the confidence and knowledge of your student in a variety of driving situations.
- The program is designed to be equivalent to an in-person classroom experience. Your student will learn all the content of the classroom from the convenience of your own home.
- The curriculum based on knowledge, not fear! We focus on defensive and safe driving habits to help make your student become a safe driver for life.
- Interactive games and videos make the learning experience fun and engaging.
- Your student can access the online program anytime, anywhere! It works on all devices. All you need is a working Internet connection.
- Everything is self-paced. When life gets busy, your student can pick up the course at any time.
- After you enroll in our online program, we receive a donation to help fund school programs. Not only does your student learn the basics of driving, but you can feel good about supporting
LAKE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL’s.
