The Lake County DOOR Program is an alternative high school diploma program offered by the Lake County School District located in Leadville, Colorado. The development of the DOOR Program was initially a collaboration between Colorado Mountain College, the Mountain BOCES, Lake County School District and the Colorado Workforce Center to address the significant numbers of high school dropouts in Lake County. Students enrolled in the DOOR Program who successfully complete all graduation requirements will receive a Lake County High School diploma.
The DOOR Program is a self-paced, competency based opportunity for the motivated student to apply life skills to achieve a high school diploma, gain the knowledge and skills crucial for entry into the workforce, advanced training, or post secondary education.
