Child development reports for preschoolers
All families of preschoolers enrolled at The Center will soon be receiving a copy of your child’s GOLD report.
This report is the result of observations teachers have made of your child since the beginning of the school year. The paper lists different areas of child development, such as physical development, social skills, and literacy, and what skills are related to each one. There are notes about what comes next in your child’s development and suggestions for activities you can do at home to support that growth.
You will receive 2 more GOLD reports this year, one in the winter and one in the spring. On those reports, you will be able to see the progression as your child grows and learns.
For guidance on reading the report, please contact your child’s teachers or our Director of Early Childhood Programs, Tanya Lenhard.
