Farm to School Month comes to Lake County Public Schools!

Join Lake County School District in celebrating Farm to School Month! We are partnering with the Salida School Gardens and Guidestone Colorado to bring locally-grown food to our school tables throughout October. Each week, we will feature a meal that includes a vegetable grown at the Salida School Gardens.

Here is the locally-grown menu:

October 5^th: Prepared Spinach Salad on the salad bar

October 12^th: Roasted carrot fries

October 19^th: Potatoes AuGratin with local potatoes and onions

October 27^th: Local Potato French Fries

(local onions will be used throughout the month)
