Job Description & Tasks | Oversee student and building safety throughout each school day. Build a positive rapport with students, families, and staff members. Build a positive rapport and working relationship with our local law enforcement officers. Serve as the building’s primary point of contact with local law enforcement. Maintain a consistent, reliable presence during pick up and drop off, lunches, and transitions. Monitor building spaces throughout the day, including locking student bathrooms prior to transitions. Regularly check the building’s perimeter, ensuring all entry ways are locked and secured. Ensure all students use the front door to exit and enter the building throughout the day, unless accompanied by another adult. Work with LCSD Athletic Director and help with game supervision if deemed necessary |
Be an active and contributing member of the following teams: Building Emergency Response Team (both at LCHS and at the District), Student Intervention Team, and Student Threat Assessment Teams. Assist with student investigations when they arise, particularly situations involving student safety. If needed, respond to student discipline or crisis situations as a part of the Student Support Team. Assist with fire and other emergency drills as needed. Hold students accountable to all school wide expectations. Communicate with families as necessary. Conduct home visits, as necessary. Attend applicable safety trainings, as determined by the COO and building principal. Complete small vehicle licensing through LCSD transportation department and transport students if needed, with administrative approval | |
Qualifications | Applicants must hold a high school diploma or a GED. Applicants must pass all required background checks and fingerprinting. Must have valid CO driver’s license Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. |
