High School Sports Report- Sept 19

Volleyball traveled to Sheridan last Thursday and won easily in 3 sets. Sheridan never scored more than 11 points in a set.

Cross country competed in the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invitational in Gunnison on Saturday against 5A-2A schools. The girls’ team finished 3rd behind 2 strong 3A programs. They were led by Keira King (4th place), Ella Bullock (6th place), and Violet Hill (7th place). Jace Peters took 4th in the boys’ race, and the Lake County team beat all of the other 2A competition.

Last week, the boys’ soccer team beat Salida 8-2 in Salida. They mercy-ruled Alamosa 10-0 on Thursday, and they beat St Mary’s in Colorado Springs 12-2 on Saturday!
