Social Media Activity in Eagle County

This morning we became aware of an alarming post on social media listing various schools across Colorado and as far away as Texas. We have been in touch with Lake County law enforcement and they plan to have an extra presence at LCES, LCIS and LCHS this morning. Our schools will have a secure perimeter and we will monitor anyone coming in and out as we do every day. Staying aware of activity in neighboring counties helps keep our schools safe, even when Lake County is not directly referenced. The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office has posted information on their Facebook page and we will continue to monitor.
