Description: LCIS Bilingual School Secretary Records/Registrar/Student Focus is responsible for providing outstanding support to students, staff and families. They manage key systems that keep the school operating smoothly, and are often the first person people see upon arriving at the school. As such, they are responsible for providing outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all. LCIS Bilingual School Secretary Records/Registrar/Student Focus also completes mission-critical tasks with efficiency, accuracy and a high level of professionalism.
Supervised by: Front Office Supervisor and LCIS School Principal
Days: 195 day contract, follows School District Calendar
Start Date: Applications accepted until May 20, 2025. Anticipated start date of May 30, 2025 for training through June 26, 2025. (exact start date to be agreed upon with applicant)
Salary Range: $19.00-$23.00 / hour plus EXCELLENT benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, Life and PTO!)
Salary $29,640 – $35,880 annually for 195 days; 2024-2025 Salary Schedule here (Salary schedule may increase after Board decisions in late May, 2025)

Essential Duties:
Reception
- Serve as a front-line receptionist in the school office
- Greet and sign in visitors
- Answer phones; check and respond to voice mail
- Respond to student and parent questions and needs
- Direct students, parents and other visitors to those in the school who can help them
- Monitor front door and follow security procedures for allowing access to the building
Student Services
- Provide direct support to students who come to the office
- Provide direct bilingual support to families who call or come to the office
- Provide direct bilingual support to the principal or administration, as needed
- Coordinate interpretation for parent-teacher conferences / orientation conferences at LCIS
- Call parents as needed
- Monitor students who are waiting to see the principal or another administrator
Student Data/Registrar
- Processes transcript requests for students, school districts
- Collaborate with admin to enroll students in their classes
- Set up beginning of year information for school
- Performs enrollment and withdrawal activities in the student information system
- Maintains cumulative student files
- Enter and collect applicable October Count documentation
- Facilitates and implements student schedule changes each semester
- Provide staff support for the student information system
- Updates and maintains student information system
- Maintains a variety of files, documents and records for the purpose of providing reliable information for student records including immunizations
Attendance
- Track and enter attendance data into PowerSchool daily
- Run daily attendance reports and maintain for documentation
- Communicate absences internally as needed
- Produce attendance reports and letters to support administration
- Provide support to the principal or other administrator for truancy proceedings as needed
All employees contribute as needed
- Teacher check in/ check out
- Student Registration, Orientation conferences, Parent Teacher Conferences and check out
- BERT/Safety Meetings
- Copy and Distribute papers and packets
- School Dude work requests
- Key card/keys check in/out
- Meetings with district secretaries
- CPR First Aid trained and current certifications at all times
- Other jobs as assigned/needed

Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED, Bilingual (English/Spanish), pass background check and be authorized to work in the US.
PREFERED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EQUIPMENT :
- Communication, writing, language, phone, interpersonal, grammar, basic first aid, and public relations skills.
- Knowledge of Google Drive, Excel and Word.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and with frequent interruptions.
- Operating knowledge of and experience with general office equipment.
- Familiarity with Leadville, public schools, and busy environments
- 2-3 years experience with computers.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
