CCHS News and Announcements
Hello Cloud City Panthers!
What a fantastic few weeks of getting to know each other and how our school works! It was great to see students engaged in activities together and settling into our new space here at Pitts. This week begins our first Academic Intensive. There are four total all year and each one is 6 weeks long. During Academic Intensives, students work face to face in school on Tuesdays-Thursdays. They work virtually on Mondays and are welcome to come in by appointment to meet with staff. Lunch is served from 12-1 and our gym is open for students to use from 12-2 on Mondays. Both are optional. Students have individual course schedules at this time that they were given last week. Please have your student check in with Heather if they are unsure of their schedule. Thank you for partnership as we work to meet the needs of each individual student at Cloud City.
One other note as we are settling into our systems and routines- I have noticed that students are accepting rides from other student drivers both to get to and from school and at times on school field trips or to classes up at CMC. I want families and supporting adults to know that we do not vet any of these drivers by checking licenses or insurances. It is the responsibility of families and students to be sure they are getting into the car with a driver whose credentials they are comfortable with. School transportation is available. Please see Heather if you need to utilize that.
