CCHS News and Announcements
Hello CCHS Families,
Happy October even though we are nearing the end. We are gearing up for the last two months before the second semester begins. Parent Teacher Conferences will be student led and are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Make sure you get your time and day scheduled now for either of these two days. The school district is looking for input from families around the district calendar. A survey was sent out last week. Please try to fill this out and return as we would like to have all CCHS families’ voices heard.
CCHS is still struggling with student attendance. Part of CCHS being able to remain an alternative choice for schooling is based on our student attendance. We really need students to be here on their scheduled day and time for classes unless it is an absolute emergency that they must miss. We are flexible and can arrange a schedule that works best for the student. Currently our attendance rate is around 53%. We need to be 85% or above. Thank you to those who have 85% attendance or higher. Your commitment and dedication to school has not gone unrecognized. Families will be receiving attendance letters this week at conferences if your child has missed more than 10 days of school since the beginning of the school.

Students who are intending to graduate in the 2022-23 school year have a mandatory meeting scheduled on Tuesday, October 25th from 12:45-1:45. We have all graduating students apply to Colorado Mountain College for the 2023-24 school year. This does not mean they have to attend CMC but they would have the option.
Special Guests presenting at CCHS – –
On Tuesday, October 25th, Brit from CMC will be at CCHS at 12:45 pm to present to all June 2023 potential graduates and assist them with their CMC applications. Patty Kempken from Mesa State University, Western Colorado Community College, will present to all June 2023 potential graduates at 2:00 pm. All CCHS students expecting to graduate in June should attend.
All CCHS students are required to be in school on Thursday, October 27th for our first Workforce Bootcamp Session in the morning. This will be communicated to students over the next couple of weeks from their Crew teachers and we will send out reminder texts to parents as we get closer to this day.
