High School Students to continue in “Red” status for Thursday, Sept. 24th

Dear High School Staff,

At this time we do not have additional information about the second suspected case of COVID at Lake County High School. As we continue to assess next steps we believe that it is in the best interest of students and staff to remain in our online “Red” status on Thursday September 24 (just as we did today) while we continue to work with local public health on the test result and contact tracing.

Additionally, we are asking all LCHS staff to work remotely. At this time, all students and staff will operate following an “at home” schedule. We will not yet follow our fully online class schedule.  If a need to remain in online “Red” status continues into next week, we will transition to the fully online class schedule.  Tomorrow, students should report to their crew Google meeting in the morning at 8am and then do work asynchronously (classes are not in “real time”).

We know that you all will have questions and we are working to answer those once we have more information.  As we do not have any new information we are going to postpone the virtual staff meeting until we know more. Please keep an eye out for that meeting information.

Thank you!
