LCES Parent Update 10/29/2021
LCES Families,
Thank you to all our families who made it to conferences this week. It was great connecting with you about your student’s progress in school and getting a chance to show you all the great work that your student has been doing since the start of the school year.
On Thursday 1st grade hosted our community meeting and we honored all our students of the month for respect. Thank you so much to our 1st grade students and to all the parents who attended. For the month of November, we will focus on the habit of responsibility.
Honoring Our Veterans:
Are you or someone in your family a Veteran? We would like to honor all our Veterans at a special community meeting November 11, 2021 at 8:10. We will have a special guest speaker present about our flag and show students how the flag is folded. Parents are welcome to attend.
Parent Volunteers Needed:
Would you like to be part of planning a fun literacy night for all families at LCES and other literacy related activities for families? We are in need of putting together a planning committee that will help lead these fun family activities. Please reach out to Mrs. Pongrekun at kpongrekun@lakecountyschools.net if you are interested in being a part of this team.
Thank you to all the parents who signed up during conferences to be a part of this team. If you are still interested in being a part of this team, please reach out to me at any time.
Health Information:
Attendance is super important and we ask that you please have your student here any day that they can be. We also want to say thank you so much for keeping your student home when they are sick. Please remember that if your student does have a fever of 100.4 or higher, they need to be fever free without medication for 24 hours before they can return to school. We also ask that you please send your child with a mask every day. We appreciate your continued support with this and for helping us follow our COVID-19 procedures.
