LCES Weekly Update 12/2/22
LCES Families,
Happy December! What a fun week we’ve had at Lake County Elementary School. This week our Kindergarten crews went on a field work trip to C4. See the pictures below. Then on Thursday, we held our community meeting in the gym to celebrate the HOWL of Responsibility and recognize students of the month. Kindergarten led the meeting and showed us their learning about the parts of a plant. Thursday night, we held our Family Fun Night Winter Festival. It was a great turnout, and even Santa was in attendance!
Classroom Holiday Celebrations & Spirit Week:
December 12-15 we will be having a fun holiday spirit week. See the flier below for more information! Also, please see the messages below regarding your student’s grade level holiday party celebration scheduled for the afternoon of December 15th.
Kindergarten:
“Kindergarten will be having classroom celebrations on December 15th from 2:00-3:00. We are looking for 6-8 parent volunteers per classroom to help guide and support small groups of students at activity stations. These activities have been planned by our kinder teachers. Please reach out to the office to sign up to help. Thank You!”
First Grade:
“The first-grade team is going to do holiday stations throughout the afternoon on December 15th from 12:15-2:25. Classrooms may need 1-2 volunteers to help with activities. Please email your child’s teacher if you would like to volunteer. Please note that only 1-2 volunteers will be chosen per each 1st grade classroom.”
Second Grade:
“Second grade will be having a holiday celebration from 2:00-3:00 on December 15th. Please email your students’ teacher for more information regarding volunteering for this event or providing the class with supplies.”
Outside Ready:
Thanks for sending your student with gear to go outside everyday. If the temperature is above 10 degrees (windchill above 0), we do go outside. Students love this time outside and do great when they have the gear they need to go out. Thanks for also putting your students name on their gear so we can get it back to the right person if it is misplaced.
