LCES Family Communication 3/17/23

This week our first graders went to Ice Palace Park with Mary and Natalia from Get Outdoors Leadville. They spent the afternoon cross country skiing and sledding. Students enjoyed their time outside in the snow!
We hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break! We are excited and looking forward to the rest of the school year. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Do you currently have snow in your area? Generation Wild Colorado is looking for volunteers to build a snowman for a patient at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Volunteers will get matched up with a patient who has a cool vision for a snow friend, and is hoping to see it come to life. All Colorado resident volunteers will be entered into a sweepstakes to win some sweet REI gear. Sign up to brighten a patient’s day today. The deadline to build a snowman is March 28. Please contact cmedrano@goco.org with any questions. #SayHiWithASnowman
Without a movie theater or bowling alley in town, it can be hard to find something for the whole family to do on a Friday night. First Baptist Church of Leadville has a solution! On the fourth Friday of every month, we will be hosting a family friendly movie night on our giant (and we mean GIANT) screen. Due to our licensing, we are unable to publicly advertise the movie titles, but you can find out which popular movie we are showing each month by emailing church@fbcleadville.com or calling the church at 719-486-1321. Come check it out for our next movie night on Friday, March 24th at 6:00pm. You bring the family and friends, we’ll provide the popcorn!
