LCES Family Communication 5/12/23
LCES Families,
LCES Families,
What a fun week at LCES. On Thursday our 2nd graders went to Hayden Meadows for part II of their study on the water cycle. While it was a wet day, students had a great day of learning.
Also on Thursday, our K-2 students got to go to the high school in order to watch a preview of The Sound of Music. It was so great to get to see a selection of the musical and get to see the hard work and dedication that each of the students put into this great production. Thank you to the cast and crew for allowing us to see a piece of your work. If you haven’t gotten tickets yet to see this great production, we encourage you to do so at the link below.
The Sound of Music:
Lake County High School’s Performing Arts Department is happy to announce their production of the timeless classic THE SOUND OF MUSIC running May 11th – 13th. Click here for more information on this week’s performances! https://wp.me/p4PQnj-6pX
Please Continue to send your students with jackets and boots to go outside everyday. As we have a variety of temperatures and weather conditions, please note that we will continue to go outside daily. Thanks for sending your kids prepared.
Kindergarten Pre-registration
Kindergarten Pre-Registration is open. If you have an upcoming Kindergartener who will turn five by October 1st, 2023, use the QR Code on the flier in order to give us your name and student information so that we can be sure to send out a registration packet to you in July. If you know of anyone in the community with kiddos who will be entering Kindergarten next year, please help us share this information.
If you have a student who is going into Kindergarten next year, join us on June 1st for our Ice Cream Social. We are excited to meet you and welcome you into our kindergarten community.
Art Show!
Mark your calendars for the LCSD Art Show! On May 18th from 5-7, come see the amazing art created by students in grades PK-12 and create some art of your own at the activity booths.
