{"id":12164,"date":"2023-09-22T16:55:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-22T22:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lakecountyschools.net\/lces\/?p=12164"},"modified":"2023-09-21T16:40:11","modified_gmt":"2023-09-21T22:40:11","slug":"lces-panther-cub-communication-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lakecountyschools.net\/lces\/2023\/09\/22\/lces-panther-cub-communication-8\/","title":{"rendered":"LCES Panther Cub Communication # 8"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Week of September 25-29, 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Panther Cub Families!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have had a great week at LCES!&nbsp; We wrapped up our DIBELS 8 testing this week for those who were absent last week.&nbsp; We will be sharing overall school results at our Principal Coffee Chat next Tuesday and individual student results with you during our fall conferences.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will host our September community meeting for grades K-2 on Thursday, September 28th from 8:05-8:35.&nbsp; Parents are welcome to attend.&nbsp; We will be awarding a student in each crew for the habit of Collaboration.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, September 28th, students in grades PK-2 will have Panther Day in specials classes.&nbsp; The theme for this month is Fall.&nbsp; This is a fun day where all the students and specials teachers come together to do activities and crafts related to the theme.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Parent Teacher Conferences PK-2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fall conferences for grades PK-2 are approaching and will be held on October 11th and 12th from 12:30-8:00.\u00a0 Please use the following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flashappointments.com\/client\/lgn\/mobile.cfm?busId=13089\">link<\/a> to sign up for your half hour time slot to meet with your child\u2019s teacher.\u00a0 Please reach out to the front office if you have any questions about scheduling.\u00a0 We look forward to meeting with you to share with you how your child is doing.\u00a0 Students will be dismissed at 11:00 on these two days ( Preschool through 2nd Grade).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Principal Coffee Chat:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will be going over school wide data and sharing more about DIBELS at our next Principal Coffee Chat on Tuesday, September 26th from 9-10 AM or from 6-7 PM in the library and answering any questions families have about how we gather data and use data to help our instruction.&nbsp; Rolls provided in the morning, cookies in the evening.&nbsp; We hope holding this at two times will allow each of you an opportunity to attend.&nbsp; Translation provided.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>NED Show:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you know we recently hosted an all school event called The NED Show. She graduated from College of Charleston with her degree in Elementary Education and this is her third year teaching 2nd grade. She is inspired daily by watching students grow- academically and emotionally, and building community in her classroom together as a Crew. Her dream vacation would be an all inclusive resort somewhere tropical. When Ms. Frattolin isn\u2019t teaching 2nd grade, she enjoys reading and going on walks. As part of our LCES Work Plan, we have a school attendance goal of 94% for the year. When students are here they are able to learn, when students learn they are set up for lifelong success. Please use it for entry into the program between 9:30-4pm.
