Thank you so much for taking the time to join us for Parent-Teacher Conferences this week. We truly value your partnership and hope you were able to gain helpful insight into your child\u2019s progress and see the meaningful learning happening in their classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating our HOWL of perseverance during a community meeting led by our 2nd grade students. It was wonderful to see their learning about insects come to life, and we are so proud of their hard work. Congratulations as well to our Students of the Month!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IXL Challenge: <\/strong>If your student logs at least 60 minutes of IXL recommended skills practice during the weekends of March 25-29 or April 3-5, your family will be entered into a raffle to receive a gift certificate. April HOWL (Habit of Work & Learning) Focus: Curiosity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the month of April, we are celebrating the HOWL of curiosity.\u00a0 Curiosity means, \u201cI can explore new ideas by asking questions and seeking answers about the world around me.\u201d The Student of the Month for each crew will be announced at our next community meeting on April 30th.\u00a0 If your student is chosen by their teacher, we will reach out at the beginning of that week to let you know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Semester 2 Attendance Challenge:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The semester 2 attendance challenge is here!\u00a0 This semester, K-2 students who have 1 or fewer absences will have the opportunity to attend a Rockies baseball game in Denver at Coors Field on May 20th!\u00a0 We will be checking attendance from Jan 5th-April 30th to see who qualifies.\u00a0 Families will be notified if your student has earned this opportunity the week of May 4th. Students may opt out of attending if parents so choose (Opt out deadline: May 6th).\u00a0 As the event gets closer, we will share more details so check this section regularly for updates!\u00a0 Please note LCIS is doing an attendance reward at this Rockies game as well so please look for specific information from LCIS in their parent communication as the criteria is slightly different between schools.\u00a0 Make sure your student is present at school every day as long as they are healthy in order to earn this opportunity!\u00a0 We are so excited for this special event!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
