Happy April! As we welcome a new month, we\u2019re reminded that the weather can be a bit unpredictable this time of year. Please continue sending students with jackets for those chilly mornings and windy days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our kindergarten students recently celebrated the end of their \u201cKings and Queens\u201d knowledge unit with a Royal Ball. It was adorable to see students dressed up and joyfully celebrating all they\u2019ve learned! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

IXL Challenge: <\/strong>If your student logs at least 60 minutes of IXL recommended skills practice during the weekends of March 25-29 or April 3-5, your family will be entered into a raffle to receive a gift certificate. We will contact the winning student\u2019s family on April 9. Please reach out to Mrs. Lovely if you need support logging on to IXL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

April HOWL (Habit of Work & Learning) Focus: Curiosity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the month of April, we are celebrating the HOWL of curiosity.  Curiosity means, \u201cI can explore new ideas by asking questions and seeking answers about the world around me.\u201d The Student of the Month for each crew will be announced at our next community meeting on April 30th.  If your student is chosen by their teacher, we will reach out at the beginning of that week to let you know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attendance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Semester 2 Attendance Challenge: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The semester 2 attendance challenge is here!  This semester, K-2 students who have 1 or fewer absences will have the opportunity to attend a Rockies baseball game in Denver at Coors Field on May 20th!  We will be checking attendance from Jan 5th-April 30th to see who qualifies.  Families will be notified if your student has earned this opportunity the week of May 4th. Students may opt out of attending if parents so choose (Opt out deadline: May 6th).  As the event gets closer, we will share more details so check this section regularly for updates!  Please note LCIS is doing an attendance reward at this Rockies game as well so please look for specific information from LCIS in their parent communication as the criteria is slightly different between schools.  Make sure your student is present at school every day as long as they are healthy in order to earn this opportunity!  We are so excited for this special event! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOWLs Q4 Challenge: <\/strong>We are excited to announce our quarter 4 HOWLs challenge!  Your student will try to earn as many HOWL Dollars as they can for the chance to earn cotton candy and extra recess with the principals at the end of the quarter!  The top six HOWL dollar earners in each class will win.  If your student wins, we will send home a paper parent communication in their backpack.  You will also receive a text message from the front office. Students can earn HOWL Dollars by showing any of our HOWLs to any staff member in the school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Center Families,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enrollment for 2026-2027 is now open.   All families who would like to return to preschool next year need to complete an application.  We provided one for you.  We also have a fillable PDF version on our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can return completed applications to the main office or your child\u2019s teacher.  You can also email completed applications to tdlenhard@lakecountyschools.net<\/a> or mamartinez@lakecountyschools.net<\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our preschool classrooms will be starting their domain on Habitats next week.   During this domain, children will learn about different habitats.  We start with the woodlands and learning about the animals and plants that live there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello Families,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

April 2026 tuition has been posted to your child\u2019s account. The due date is April 1st. If you have any questions about your bill, please reach out to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late Pick Up Reminder, any time past your child\u2019s scheduled hours are  billable per tuition agreements, the first 5 minutes it\u2019s a $1.00 per minute, and as of minute 6 it\u2019s $5.00 per minute. If you are unsure what your scheduled hours are please reach out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please remember school starts at 9:00, if your child will be dropped off after 9:30 please call the front office (719-486-6890) or Marissa (719-427-7075), so we can make sure we include them in meal counts for the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
