Mr. McFee’s Fly Fishing Class a Collaborative Success!
This year with the support of GOL, Mr. McFee set up a woods and fly fishing class. Three days a week the students are in class learning about fly rod construction and two days a week they go out and fish at various local places. Sometimes they have guest speakers to learn about entomology, river ecology and other aspects of fish habitats. This truly interdisciplinary class is a great example of the great work of GOL and our efforts to use the principals of expeditionary learning in our schools. Huge thanks to GOL for supporting this program and to Colorado Outward Bound for hosting us.
