Reminders: Homecoming / Spirit Week – September 30 – October 5

If you have not turned in a completed and signed Free and Reduced School Meals application (the yellow form you received in your packet), please return one as soon as possible to Leslee Torsell at the LCHS front office. It is necessary for families to apply each school year to remain eligible for benefits. Panther of the Week: Jaycee Windorski for her great efforts and commitment to MS volleyball, her exemplary school attendance, and super academic work!
Please join the Lake County School District on October 2nd for a community event at West Park Elementary. The district is working with CASB (Colorado Association of School Boards) to hire a new superintendent for next year and there will be a community meal and facility tour of West Park Elementary School. Please see attached fliers for more information, Spanish and English.

REMINDER: West Park Facility Tour and Community Dinner
Also on Wednesday, Oct. 2, please join us for a tour of West Park Elementary School to see
the condition of the building and why the Colorado Department of Education Capital
Construction Assistance Board recommended LCSD receive the grant for a new PK-2 building.

X-Mas in October (Wednesday) – bring in the holidays early this year with an ugly sweater or anything that will show holiday spirit

On Sunday, October 7th from 10:00am to 2:00pm is the Colorado Western Slope College Fair. Students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend with their families, or if they would like, to attend the event with a counselor. This is a free event which has more than 230 colleges and universities present that day. Students may pick up a permission slip from either Kat or Kelly. We will leave from the high school at 8:15am and return around 3:30 that day. Please see the attached permission for transportation form. Students should register beforehand at www.cwscollegeoutreach.org
Ski Pass Opportunity! Vail Resorts, Inc. is once again pleased to offer a discounted ski pass program for Lake County students.
Please see the attached letters, Student Pass Letter and Student Authorization Letter regarding the Vail & Beaver Creek pass options. These passes will not become available for purchase until Friday November 8th, 2019 but we felt it was important that this information be provided now to help parents and students best understand their pass options for this winter. In addition, there is no “cut-off” date and the passes are available during the full duration of the season for purchase.
New this year, we are happy to announce that the pass options will include access to Crested Butte!
