Senior Checklist for college bound students:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1. ACT retakes sign up online at www.act.org<\/a>
\n2. Apply for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online in October<\/strong>. New application will be available as of January 1st, go to FAFSA website www.fafsa.ed.gov and apply for you and your child’s PIN number now. There is also a helpful worksheet that will help you fill out the application. File your taxes early!
\n3. Applications to College(s)
\n4. Letters of Recommendation 3 or 4
\n5. Resume
\n6. Scholarships – apply year-round<\/p>\n

Alpha Sigma Scholarship
\nDelta Kappa Gamma Society International
\nEligibility Requirements:
\n-Must be a graduating senior woman who is planning to pursue a degree in a field related to education
\n-Applicant must plan to enroll in an accredited university\/college in the upcoming summer or fall term<\/p>\n

Bob Piper Construction Education Scholarship (Sponsored by ABC Associated Builders and Contractors)
\nPurpose: Support and encourage youth to enter construction industry and provide partial funding for their education.
\nEligibility Requirements:
\n*Register at or attending an accredited college\/university
\n*Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
\n*2 letters of recommendation
\n*American or Naturalized citizen<\/p>\n

Colorado Mason’s Benevolent Fund Scholarship
\nEligibility Requirements:
\n-Open to all graduating seniors in public schools in Colorado who will attend a school of higher education

\nEligibility Requirements:
\n-Must graduate High School and attend full time at an accredited college or university

Sylvia Stoner Memorial Student Grant

\nEligibility Requirements:
\n-Graduating Senior girl of Lake County High School
\n-Resident of Lake County
\n-Must attend an accredited university or college in upcoming summer or fall term
\n-Only completed applications received on or before the deadline will be eligible<\/p>\n

The Summit Foundation has partnered with local radio stations KSMT and Lift 106 to offer various scholarship opportunities:
\n*Two monthly scholarships will be given out between the months of Jan. and May.
\n*** KSMT 102 and Lift 106 scholarships are $1,000.00 each and will be awarded monthly to a senior recognizing their community service and volunteerism
\nIn addition to the monthly scholarships, NRC Broadcasting is offering a Communications Scholarship for $3,000.00; 2 Technical\/Vocational Studies scholarships for $2, 500.00 each; and an Agricultural scholarship for $5,000.00<\/p>\n
