{"id":11629,"date":"2020-09-10T14:31:07","date_gmt":"2020-09-10T20:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakecoschools.wpengine.com\/lchs\/?p=11629"},"modified":"2020-09-10T17:25:17","modified_gmt":"2020-09-10T23:25:17","slug":"news-from-lchs-92","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lakecountyschools.net\/lchs\/2020\/09\/10\/news-from-lchs-92\/","title":{"rendered":"News from LCHS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We went over the online phase potential during conferences but wanted to remind everyone what that looks like should we need to go to online phase at some point.\u00a0 Here is a link to a summary of the online plan in both English and Spanish.\u00a0 Note, should we go to online phase, students attend actual sessions with each teacher at scheduled times.\u00a0 Also note, crew takes place every Monday from 1:30-2:00 pm and can be accessed through the Google meet link in the crew Google Classroom.\u00a0 Also, in an online phase, students should have a 1-1 check in with their crew teacher each week to make sure they are staying on track.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1sQrhRniCE7yAYyuMUyR6R6iPx4dD0d9rzkWxaGkEOr4\/edit\">English<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1nhSZ9sMvhUNXTltQr1yHo4Aovl4fZT3kuKt3ix3QFRs\/edit\">Spanish<\/a>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember to do your health screen at\nhome before coming to school and continue to follow the safety practices at\nschool. Students not following our safety guidelines will serve lunch\ndetentions. For LCHS in-person students, <strong>be sure to log on to your Crew at 8:05 am on your at-home learning\ndays<\/strong>. Logging on to Crew establishes your attendance for the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be sure to read the attached <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lakecountyschools.net\/lchs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/09\/2020How-Sick-is-Too-Sick_Final_090820.pdf\">\u201cHow Sick is Too Sick\u201d<\/a><\/strong> guidelines from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for guidance about when to keep your children home from school. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lakecountyschools.net\/lchs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/09\/DEHS_ChildCare_HowSickistooSickIllnessPolicy_Espanol.pdf\">Spanish version<\/a><\/strong> from Colorado Children\u2019s Hospital is also attached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>UPDATE:\nMeals during Yellow Phase Reopening<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All meals are now free for\nall students regardless of free\/reduced lunch status. Please be sure to take\nadvantage of the meals LCSD is able to provide!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lakecountyschools.net\/blog\/2020\/09\/02\/sept-2nd-update-meals-during-yellow-phase-reopening\/\">this link<\/a> for details on distribution depending on your student\u2019s learning\nchoice. It is\nnecessary to complete a new application each school year. If your student was\neligible for free or reduced meals during the 2019-2020 school year, that\neligibility only carries through the first 30 days of school. Children\nneed healthy meals to learn and thrive at school! Lake County School District\noffers healthy meals every school day and eligible families can receive these\nmeals at no cost. When families apply for school meal benefits they are also\nhelping Lake County School District receive additional funding that goes right\nback into the classroom!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications can be turned in at any school front office Monday-Thursday\n8:30 am \u2013 3:30 pm, or mailed to Leslee Torsell, Lake County High School, 1004\nW. 4<sup>th<\/sup> St., Leadville, CO 80461.
