Reminder:<\/strong>       Spring Break begins on Monday, March 22nd<\/sup>. School resumes on Monday, March 29th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear LCHS Parents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school district Board of Directors approved a plan for LCHS to phase in increased in-person learning opportunities for students over the few weeks following Spring Break. The week following Spring Break, LCHS students will continue to follow their established Semester 2 plan for classes as it has been.<\/strong> As more in-person learning opportunities become available for your students, LCHS administration will communicate that to families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy a safe and rejuvenating Spring Break and we will see you back, the week of March 29th<\/sup>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Middle School Volleyball (grades 6-8)<\/strong> begins on March 29th<\/sup>, 4:00PM at LCIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get your drivers\u2019 education online<\/strong> over Spring break! See the attached flyer<\/a><\/u><\/strong> for details. (Please note that this flyer has been updated from last week.)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we head into Spring with warmer weather and all of its celebrations, be sure to check out the parent resources in this link, https:\/\/www.samhsa.gov\/underage-drinking\/parent-resources<\/a> to help you talk with your students about underage drinking, and alcohol and other substance abuse.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rockies Rock 2021!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camp is open to upcoming 1st<\/sup> – 8th<\/sup> grades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 1: June 28 \u2013 July 8<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 2: July 12 \u2013 July 23<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 3: July 26 \u2013 Aug 5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are excited to announce a FREE 3-part Family Learning Institute for parents and families of Lake County students. This series is a partnership between LCSD, Full Circle, and other health agencies in our county. The goal of this series is to give parents more knowledge and tools to promote health and wellbeing of the family. The sessions will be held virtually on April 14th, May 12th, and June 9th from 6-7:30pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will cap the series at 30 participants to provide us with enough time to answer questions and have good discussions. See the attached flyer<\/u><\/strong> <\/a>for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*At the end of the series, families that attend all 3 sessions will receive incentives that promote health and wellness\u200b*: <\/strong>1) Farm bucks to spend on local produce at Cloud City Conservation Center, 2) A free one-year family membership to the Get Outdoors Leadville Gear Library, and 3) a one-day family pass to the Lake County Aquatic Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
