It has been great to have our students back in the building, reconnecting with one another, settling into routines, and getting to work in their classes. Our staff has been focused on creating classrooms where students feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and ready to learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are excited to welcome students and families back to LCHS for Back to School Night this Wednesday from 5:45PM-7:15PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will begin together in the auditorium at 5:45PM for a brief welcome. From there, students and families will follow the student\u2019s class schedule and visit each of their classrooms. Teachers will provide a brief overview of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What students will be learning this year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The major goals and outcomes for the class<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What students can expect day to day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How families can support a successful year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students should attend with their families so they can help guide you through their schedule and introduce you to their teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are grateful for the strong start to the year and excited about the work ahead. Most importantly, we are looking forward to working alongside our students and families throughout the year. Matt Quinn accomplished a hole in one from 168 yards out! Arlo Mudge ended up as the top Panther, finishing 29<sup>th<\/sup> with 82 strokes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Middle School Sports Updates<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rest of our middle school sports kick off on Monday (Aug 17)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volleyball will practice at the <strong>intermediate<\/strong> school. 4:15-5:45 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Football will practice at Federico Field from 4:15-5:45 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soccer will practice at Community Park Field from 4-5:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your athlete plans to do football and soccer, please have them attend football practice on Monday and soccer practice on Tuesday. Be sure to let the coaches know that they want to do both sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you signed up for the <strong>Clay Target Sports Team (Trap Shooting)<\/strong> at orientation, expect communication about a parent meeting and program details by early next week. If you don&#8217;t hear anything, please reach out to Coach Jake Farber at 970-471-2369 or 40677njnf@gmail.com.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have a new sports website called Bound!<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gobound.com\/co\/schools\/lakecountyhs\"> https:\/\/www.gobound.com\/co\/schools\/lakecountyhs<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the place to find schedules, ticketing and news about your teams. On the homepage, select the team you are looking for from the list on the left. Hint: you might have to scroll down to find what you&#8217;re looking for. When you click on a program, you will automatically be taken to the varsity level of that program. Click on the word Varsity at the top of the page and select the level you are looking for from the dropdown menu. Then click on Schedule to see and print the season&#8217;s schedule. You can also click the green Notifications button to select what notifications you would like to receive for your team. Click on the Panther head anytime to go back to the LCHS home page. Along the top of the home page, you can select Calendar to get a weekly or monthly view of everything going on at LCHS. There is a filter icon which allows you to select only the activities you are interested in on the calendar. Also at the top of the home page is a link for &#8220;Tickets.&#8221; Here you can purchase advance tickets for our home games.
