We have really awesome kids. They are settling into routines, building relationships, and bringing energy and personality to our school each day.

At the same time, we know the work is still ahead of us. One of our biggest areas of focus this year is instruction and making sure every student has a strong learning experience in every classroom.

To support that work, we are beginning to introduce our LCHS Vision for Instruction. At its core, this is our shared picture of what strong teaching and learning should look like across our school. It helps us create greater consistency around clear expectations, student engagement, strong relationships, meaningful learning, and support. It does not mean every classroom looks the same. It means we are clear about the experiences we believe every student deserves.

I will share more about this at our first Parent Coffee Chat on Monday, September 14 from 10:30-11:30 AM. We will begin in the cafeteria, talk about our schoolwide priorities, visit classrooms, and give families an opportunity to see our students and teachers in action.

This work takes all of us. Students, staff, families, and our community each play an important role. It truly takes a village, and I am grateful for the partnership as we continue building on a strong start.

We are glad you are a part of LCHS,

Sports Report

Chloe King has won 2 high school girls’ cross country races in a row. Students must be passing all of their classes, or they may not compete during the following week (Monday-Sunday).

Middle school grades are checked every other Thursday. If an ineligible middle school student gets all of their grades up, they may appeal and return to competition. Appeals are not an option at the high school level, per CHSAA bylaw.

Thursdays during Crew is the best time for middle school students to make up work or retake formatives. Please encourage your athlete to email their teachers to make a plan for getting caught up during this time.

LET’S GO PANTHERS!

Amy Peters

LCHS September Breakfast and Lunch Menu

LCHS Homecoming Dance & Spirit Week

Dance Passes are available in the office and must be turned in by Tuesday September 29th!

Senior Page Submissions

Upcoming Events

Saturday September 12

Monday September 14

Tuesday September 15

Wednesday September 16

Thursday September 17

Friday September 18

Saturday September 19

Community Events

Smart Bellies

Silverthorne Rec Center

School Based Health Center

LCHS Families, We have had a strong start to the school year, and I continue to be incredibly proud of our students. This is an important milestone for our school and reflects the hard work of our students, staff, and families.

Progress like this does not happen because of one program, one person, or one year of work. It comes from showing up every day, building stronger systems, supporting students, improving instruction, and continuing to raise expectations for what is possible at LCHS.

We also know there is more work ahead. There are areas where we need to continue growing, particularly as we push toward stronger academic achievement and growth for every student. A Green rating is something worth celebrating, but it is not a finish line. It is evidence that the work is moving us in the right direction.

I am incredibly proud of our students and staff and grateful for the partnership of our families. I am proud to lead LCHS, and I am excited about what we can continue to build together.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and our school.

We are glad you are a part of LCHS

Sports Report We have a new sports website called Bound! https://www.gobound.com/co/schools/lakecountyhs

This is the place to find schedules, ticketing and news about your teams. On the homepage, select the team you are looking for from the list on the left. Hint: you might have to scroll down to find what you’re looking for. When you click on a program, you will automatically be taken to the varsity level of that program. Click on the word Varsity at the top of the page and select the level you are looking for from the dropdown menu. Then click on Schedule to see and print the season’s schedule. You can also click the green Notifications button to select what notifications you would like to receive for your team. Click on the Panther head anytime to go back to the LCHS home page. Along the top of the home page, you can select Calendar to get a weekly or monthly view of everything going on at LCHS. There is a filter icon which allows you to select only the activities you are interested in on the calendar. Also at the top of the home page is a link for “Tickets.” Here you can purchase advance tickets for our home games. You will also be able to pay with credit card as you enter events.

Bound also has an app. You can find some informational videos on how to work it here.

LET’S GO PANTHERS!

Amy Peters

LCHS September Breakfast and ![""]("https://www.lakecountyschools.net/lchs/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/09/image-14.png")
