LCIS SNSO 9-13-20
Hello LCIS Families,
This has been an eventful week for LCSD staff, students, and families. There have been multiple communications to relay important health information and we are so thankful that you all have been so responsive. We know that there will be further updates from the district and Dr. Massey as new developments arise. Please know that you are always welcome to call with any questions or concerns.
Please continue to send your child with their face covering and their completed health screener.
While the start of school has been very different and anything but monotonous, you are all continuing to march along beside us. Thank you.
We wanted to make sure you have the chance to catch some of the joys happening in the schools. From giggles to high fives, it’s been great to see our kids back in the building.
We are working hard to implement our health protocols. Handwashing, one way hallways, lunches in classrooms, health screeners, masks, cohorts of students, physical distancing and alternative programming are just a few of the different approaches to our school year that our staff has been working diligently to implement.
As access to the building is limited to mitigate unintended exposure to COVID, we wanted to find a way to allow families a peek into our schools. You will find a video here that has been created to capture some of the back to school moments that have happened.
Thank you for being a partner in your child’s learning! You may be noticing that every week your child’s school work load is increasing. This is by design. As we get closer to the completion of the 100 Elk programming, we anticipate students spending a significant portion of their remote learning days engaged in academics. Please continue to check in regularly with your child with regards to their school work. Any student needing support with their Chromebook may send an email to helpdesk@lakecountyschools.net
