LCIS SNSO 12/13/20
Hello LCIS Families,
It’s hard to believe that we are wrapping up our semester this week! We are looking forward to a strong finish and hope that all of our students will be present at school every day. Of course, if your child is sick, please keep them home as we’re all doing our part to keep ourselves and each other healthy and safe.
We’re so glad that our fifth grade students will be returning to in person learning this week. If you have a fifth grade student, please remind them to bring all of their learning materials with them to school on Monday.
In looking toward next semester, we’re so excited to announce that we will be able to continue with our YELLOW hybrid model. This means that all in person LCIS students will have classes every day with their core teachers in either the morning or the afternoon, and they will have school work support and Project Dream activities during the other half of the day.
We are planning to start on January 4th following this schedule:
A-Cohort | B-Cohort |
7:45-12:05 Project Dream: School work support & Activities | 7:45-12:05 Core Academics |
12:05-3:30 Core Academics | 12:05-3:30 Project Dream: School work support & Activities |
LCIS is celebrating the changing seasons and end of semester with a spirit week this week! Monday is wear your favorite sweatshirt day. Tuesday is hat and/or scarf day, Wednesday is dress in one color day. Thursday is dress in your best holiday flair. On Thursday, our Specials and Explore classes will host special winter activities including making a craft. Classroom teachers may also celebrate the end of the semester with their classes. As always, our celebrations follow our Healthy School guidelines and outside foods are not permitted.
