LCIS Friday Afternoon Shout Out 11/4/22
Hello LCIS Families!
November is here! With the arrival of this month comes the end of Daylight Savings Time. 🌞 Remember to set your clocks back Sunday morning by one hour. Also with November comes the colder weather and snow. Students have outdoor recess every day, so please help your child be prepared by sending them to school with warm clothes and boots.
Thanks to everyone who helped celebrate Halloween! It was fun to see such a variety of costumes.
🦃 We are looking forward to the annual Thanksgiving Lunch on November 16th! We get to see so many families enjoy a delicious and affordable lunch with their kids. The cost of the meals will be $3 for students and $4 for adults.
Here’s some news from our school social worker:
My name is Karly Menchen. I support your students’ social and emotional needs at LCIS as the School Social Worker. I am from Maryland and graduated with my Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2020 from Salisbury University. I moved to Leadville in September 2021 and I am very grateful to have been welcomed into the Leadville community. I am making it my mission to start a LCIS Community Clothing Closet here in my office as there are times when students are in need of extra items. If you would like to donate any gently used items to the Community Clothing Closet, please send them to the school with your child or drop them off at the main office. We are in need of the following items:
-socks -short/long sleeve shirts -jeans/pants -snow pants -shoes/boots -hats/gloves
Thank you for your support. Please reach out to me with any questions. kmenchen@lakecountyschools.net
