Hello LCIS Families,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s here! The 100th Day of School<\/strong> is Monday! <\/strong>Get ready to step back in time!  Students are invited to dress like they are 100 years old to celebrate the 100th day of school on February 23rd.  Ideas to help you dress the part:  Gray or white wig, cardigans\/sweater vests, suspenders, shawls, bowties and pearls. Be creative! Have Fun! Celebrate 100 days of learning at school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us for our February Community Meeting this Wednesday starting at 8:05<\/strong> in the LCIS Gym. Our 5th graders will lead the meeting and present what they\u2019ve learned about photosynthesis. We will also honor our scholars of the month for Compassion, our Habit of Work and Learning (HOWL) this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In ELA this week, third graders have been practicing their writing skills by constructing paragraphs on topics such as gravity, scientists, and the Olympics. In math, they are beginning their exploration of division! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outward Bound Full-Tuition Scholarship Opportunities for ages for ages 12-18<\/span>

<\/strong> Full scholarships are available for middle and high school students to attend a 5- or 8-day expedition in Colorado or Utah. The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and food, and students can borrow all the gear needed for the course. This opportunity is open to students who are excited to attend and demonstrate financial need.
