Hello LCIS Families,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are quickly wrapping up this spring\u2019s CMAS testing! Our third graders completed the math assessments this week and now we only have a few make-up assessments to give next week. We truly can\u2019t thank you enough for getting your child to school every day during the testing window. We are proud of the perseverance our students showed throughout each assessment and we are looking forward to seeing the results of their efforts later this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have seen a steady decrease in students completing their online homework throughout this semester. Remember that students should be working on IXL for about 20 minutes each day on either ELA or Math skills. With nine weeks of school remaining and end of year assessments on the horizon, please encourage your child to keep their existing skills strong and grow with their new skills by having them work on their recommended skills every day at home.<\/p>\n\n\n

The \u201cAvalanche Cabin\u201d Escape Room at Mountain Time Escape Room in Breckenridge takes place this week for students who participated in a BOCES Enrichment Infusion Course this spring.This group will be out on Thursday April 23 from 9:30 to 1:30. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next Perfect Attendance Pizza Raffle winner will be chosen next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next community meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 29 at 8:05 in the LCIS Gym. Our third grade students will host this month\u2019s event. We will honor our scholars of the month for the habit of perseverance and doing our CMAS Baseball Raffle to see who will win tickets to see a Rockies game on May 20. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next Rizzler Reward will take place on Wednesday, April 29th. Students will be chosen for continuing to show April\u2019s habit of curiosity by: Asking thoughtful questions. Seeking out new information. Engaging in exploration and inquiry. Taking academic risks. And making connections beyond learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next class attendance reward will take place on Thursday, April 30th. The class with the highest attendance will earn this fun reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our End of Year DIBELS reading assessments will begin the week of May 4th. Help your child to reach their reading goals by having them read out loud every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
