Hello LCIS Families,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our students took ELA and Math Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments from the Northwest Evaluation Association NWEA this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our reading data<\/strong> shows a median growth at the 62nd percentile and our reading achievement increased from the median score of the 32nd percentile to the 45th percentile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our math data<\/strong> shows a median growth at the 71st percentile and our math achievement increased from the median score of the 29th percentile to the 41st percentile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are very proud of our students for the work they have done this year to grow their reading and math skills. Continue to encourage your child to read and solve math problems every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opening night for DISNEY\u2019S FROZEN <\/strong>is one week away! Tickets are already selling fast so make sure to secure yours soon! You can buy tickets here<\/a>. Adult tickets are $12, senior tickets are $10, and child\/student tickets are $8. Ticket prices will be $4 more at the door and we only will be able to take cash or check. Performances are May 28-30<\/strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, <\/strong>May 27th at 8:05 in the LCIS Gym, <\/strong>Mrs. Talbot and Mrs. Cook will host our final Community Meeting for the year. We will honor our scholars of the month for the habit of Creativity and celebrate student academic growth and attendance from the year. Join us for this fun celebration!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, May 28th, our 5th graders will take their annual trip to the Leadville National Fish Hatchery<\/strong> where they will learn about fishing and ecosystems. Please ensure that they are prepared for a day outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One very exciting event coming up is our annual Celebration of Learning on June 10th from 6:00-7:15.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
