One of the tools we use to keep our schools safe is the reporting tool, Safe2Tell. We received a tip through Safe2Tell about school safety that law enforcement has been investigating. The Leadville Police Department and Lake County Sheriff’s Office have determined that at this time there is no reason to consider this to be a credible threat to the safety of our schools. We wanted to make you aware of this and let you know that, as an extra measure of precaution and security, you may notice an extra law enforcement presence in and around our schools today.
Safe2Tell is an anonymous reporting system that anyone can access. Please don’t hesitate to share any concerns or information by going to www.safe2tell.org or calling 877-542-7233.
