Home Visits for families are October 22-23
Why do we do Home Visits?
Our teachers conduct Home Visits to get to know your child and you where it can be most comfortable for you – in your home. Your family can get to know your child’s teachers, and you can ask whatever questions you have face to face and in privacy.
Families report they enjoy home visits and love seeing their child excited to have their teachers come visit them at home. Also, sometimes it is easier for teachers to travel to a family’s home than for the family to get to the school.
What happens on Home Visits?
During your Home Visit, your child’s teachers will collaborate with you to set educational goals for your child in each of the areas of learning and development. They will show you examples of what your child is doing and learning at school. They will also give you notices of upcoming events.
Does my family have to have a Home Visit?
Your child’s education is stronger when you monitor his or her progress. These visits are designed to help you connect to what is going on the classroom in an easy and comfortable way. If it is more convenient for you to meet with the teachers at school, we are happy to make an appointment to meet you in the classroom, instead of at home. The object is to make the connection between school and home, no matter where the meeting takes place.
Please note : The Center is CLOSED on Home Visit days. There is no Head Start, CPP, or child care available on these days.
