Supporting your children (and yourself!) during COVID-19
Greetings Center families.
What a different ending to the school year we have now than what we expected when school started last fall. We have missed seeing all of you.
Thank you for everything you do balancing parenting, teaching, and working. We know it’s tough. We all have learned and grown in so many ways these last couple of months. So many things have changed.
It can be hard to know what to say to our kids when they are worried and hard to know what to do for ourselves when we have our own worries.
Here is a tip sheet from the Colorado Office of Early Childhood with ideas on how to talk to your kids about COVID-19.
Here in Lake County, there are lots of people who can help. Build a Generation is coordinating countywide efforts to get you what you need. Examples of assistance that may be available include but are not limited to: rental/mortgage assistance, utility assistance, emergency food assistance, household supplies, and transportation assistance.
