Preschool families can paint ceramics with their “Explore Your Community” passport
Just take the “passport” like the one pictured above that you found in your child’s cubby or backpack to the ceramic painting studio at 715 Harrison Avenue anytime between November 15 and January 4 during Fire on the Mountain’s regular business hours.
They will give you a free ornament for your preschool child to paint. If other family members want to join in the fun, there are many other objects available to to purchase and paint for as low as $1.
After you paint your ornament, it will be fired in the kiln and available for you to pick up in about a week.
Fire on the Mountain does welcome walk-ins, but due to reduced capacity for COVID it is recommended that you call them in advance at 719-486-2071 to reserve a table.
While you are there, have your “passport” stamped, then return it to The Center for a free book for your child.
We hope you enjoy this opportunity to “Explore Your Community”. Please contact Ms. Mary at mjelf@lakecountyschools.net or 719-486-6927 with any questions you may have.
