The Center receives $2000 grant to support the Learn-To-Ski program
The Center is very grateful to have received a $2000 grant from Copper Mountain through the Lake County Community Fund to support the 2022 Learn-To-Ski program.
Thanks to a gift from Copper Mountain Resort and POWDR, the Copper Mountain Resort Grant funds projects that fit within the following areas:
- Outdoor adventure education
- Development of lifetime sports skills and
- Environmental causes
The objective of this grant is to inspire a healthy adventure lifestyle among Lake County youth, promote lifetime sports, and protect our natural environment, and the Learn-To-Ski program at The Center surely fits these criteria.
The Lake County Community Fund (LCCF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit community organization that was established in 2016 to create a sustainable funding source to accomplish collective goals for the Lake County community.
The LCCF helps build ongoing funding and a sustainable future for the extraordinary community of Leadville and Twin Lakes, Colorado.
The Center is happy to enjoy support from a variety of community partners each year to provide twenty “kinder-ready” preschoolers who may not otherwise have the chance to learn to ski with six ski lessons at Ski Cooper.
The program is offered at no cost to the families children selected for participation.
More information and applications for the 2022 Learn-To-Ski program will be provided to eligible enrolled children in November 2021.
