Policy Council<\/strong> is the governing body of the Head Start Program and acts as the parents\u2019 voice in making major decisions for the program. Together with the school board and program staff, the Policy Council is part of the shared governance of this preschool program.<\/p>\n

Policy Council is comprised of parents and guardians of currently enrolled children and representatives of our community\u00a0as the voting members. The required composition and function of the Policy Council is outlined in section 1304.50 of the Head Start Performance Standards concerning Program Governance.<\/p>\n

El Consejo de Pol\u00edticas es el \u00f3rgano rector del Programa Head Start y act\u00faa como la voz de los padres en la toma de decisiones importantes para el programa.
