CCHS News and Announcements
CONGRATULATIONS to our Class of 2022 Graduates!
Cloud City Families,
Thank you to all of you who joined us at our first graduation on the Pitts Campus! Cremin and her team of students did a fabulous job planning and executing this event. We wish our graduates the best as they journey from Cloud City High School!
There are few events coming up for our underclassmen that I would like to highlight here:
Orientation Sessions at CMC – June 8
This is an event for students who will be continuing with us next year. CMC is hosting an orientation so that students are more familiar with taking college classes and feel more confident doing so this coming school year.
Ice Cream Social – June 14
This event is for our continuing students to meet the new students who have been accepted to attend CCHS next year.
There is another event in the planning stages for Wednesday, June 15 that I will announce as we get more of it planned out!
Senior Brunch and Graduation Gown Return – Graduates, please let us know how many people from your family can come to our Senior Brunch on Tuesday, June 7! Here is the RSVP form. You will return your graduation gown at this event or pay Leslee $15.00 to keep your gown.
Yearbooks are available for purchase in the office for $25.00
Students who are working full time must complete their Work Based Learning Logs weekly in order to remain in that plan. Those who are not able to do this will be contacted to switch plans. Please call Heather with any questions about how to do this.
Full Circle of Lake County, Inc is hosting CCHS students for a Prom Night Celebration, “A Night to Remember for Cloud City High School,” June 9th 7-10 pm at the Full circle Building. Dress Code: GLAM! RSVP to Margarita at 719-293-3136.
Students — order your CCHS lunches! See the attached CCHS June Lunch Menu and link to our website CCHS Lunch Orders/ Menu page: https://www.lakecountyschools.net/cchs/resources/cchs-llunch-orders-menu/
Do you have or know of a rental property that’s opening up? Want to rent to a reliable, awesome LCSD employee? Please pass on any known rentals to Kathleen (719 293 4678), as we look at the hiring season and want to support our employees to find housing!
Colorado youth now have access to 3 free behavioral health sessions! Any parent or youth can go to https://imattercolorado.org/ to assess their own/their child’s needs. If the results show they need help, the site will connect them to a provider for a 45-minute appointment in the next two weeks.
Mark your calendars!
See the attached flyer for the Library’s Teenspace Mural Competition! Deadline to enter is June 10th. The library is offering a $50 gift card for best concept and inviting (and encouraging!) the winner to paint their mural for community service hours. The library has all necessary materials.
