Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! Registration packets were mailed earlier in July; if you did not receive your student’s packet, please contact the CCHS office at 719.486.6980 or 719.293.5904 to receive your information. Thank you to those families that have completed their student’s registration. If you have not completed your student’s registration, please prioritize this. If you need assistance, there is a scheduled help night TOMORROW at LCHS or LCES from 4-7pm; please plan to attend during this time.
Also, before school officially begins, CCHS Orientation Conferences will be held on Wednesday, August 5, at 4:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Attendance is required for both student and a parent/guardian. Use the link provided to confirm your attendance. https://forms.gle/Pci56E4o8tsHz86D6
School will begin August 10th, all students are required to attend 8:10am -3:55pm for DisOrientation Week (the first week of school). Regularly scheduled classes will begin August 17th when students will follow their individualized class schedule.
As the 2025–26 school year comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on all the growth that has occurred throughout our school community. I have watched students grow academically, staff members grow professionally, and our district grow through thoughtful strategic planning, and consolidation. It has been a year of learning, perseverance, and accomplishment.
I am incredibly thankful to work in such a wonderful community alongside our students, families, and staff. Your partnership, support, and commitment to education help make CCHS a special place.
To our students and families, I hope this time away from school provides opportunities to spend quality time together, strengthen your communication with one another, and discover new experiences and adventures. Summer offers a chance to slow down, reflect, and create lasting memories.
To our graduates, congratulations on reaching this important milestone! As you take your next big step in life, I hope you plan something epic and embrace all the opportunities ahead of you. Please remember to come back and share your adventures with us—we would love to hear about your experiences and successes.
To our returning students, I encourage you to reflect on your goals from this past year and think about how you can strengthen them for the year ahead. Come back ready to learn, grow, and take advantage of all the opportunities that await you during the next school year.
Looking ahead, registration packets will be mailed in July. Information about registration assistance and help nights will be included in those packets.
Please mark your calendars for our CCHS Orientation Conferences, which will be held on Wednesday, August 5, at 4:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Attendance is required for both student and a parent/guardian.
Thank you for a wonderful school year. Have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August.

For our non-graduating students, this week was filled with career exploration, service learning, outdoor adventures, and celebrations.
On Monday, students traveled to the Denver Art Museum, where they explored the many talents and forms of expression represented throughout the exhibits.
On Tuesday, students participated in service learning by supporting the LCES K–2nd Grade Field Day. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back to our younger students and strengthen connections across our schools.
Wednesday brought outdoor adventures, with some students hiking Mt. Sherman while others toured the historic Matchless Mine and Heritage Museum, learning more about the rich history of our community.
On Thursday, we celebrated our graduates by decorating, preparing breakfast, and sharing one final meal together before they begin the next exciting chapter of their lives.
While graduation is quickly approaching, there is still school next week for our non-graduating students. Each day will offer new activities and learning opportunities. Students are expected to attend school through the end of the day on Thursday, June 18.
Graduation will be held on Saturday, June 13, at 8:30 a.m. at Lake County High School. We hope to see everyone there as we celebrate the accomplishments, hard work, and bright futures of our graduating students.
Thank you for your continued support, and congratulations to the Class of 2026!
