Hello and welcome to Leadville! We’re very glad that you’re here and we look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education. For help with enrolling your children in our schools, please feel free to call the district office at (719) 486-6805. Information about how to register your child for the upcoming school year can also be found on our student registration page.

The following information about which schools serve which students will help you get started:

  • Early Childhood: Preschool students ages 3-5 are served at The Center Early Childhood Programs, which offers Head Start, Colorado Preschool Program, special education and tuition-based preschool at Lake County Elementary School, located at 130 West 12th Street. Please contact The Center at (719) 486-6928 for enrollment information starting in March for the upcoming school year.
  • Elementary: Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade are served at Lake County Elementary School,  located at 130 West 12th Street. You may contact Lake county Elementary School at (719) 486-6890 starting the first of August.
  • Junior & Senior High School: Students in 6th through 12th grades are served at Lake County High School, located at 1000 West 4th Street. You may contact LCHS at (719) 486-6950 starting the first of August.
  • Alternative High School: Students in 9th through 12th grade are served at Cloud City High School, located at 315 West 6th Street. You may contact CCHS at (719) 486-6980 starting the first of August.
