CCHS News and Announcements
Dear Cloud City High School Families,
As the weather begins to warm up and spring approaches, we want to remind everyone to remain prepared for any unexpected snowstorms that may still occur. Please ensure that your students plan accordingly and make it to their scheduled classes on time, regardless of the weather conditions.
Over the next couple of weeks, we have important state testing scheduled. Here are the details:
CMAS Assessment (11th Grade):
Date: Tuesday, April 9th
All 11th-grade students enrolled in our system will be participating in the CMAS assessment on this day. It is crucial that students are present at school and arrive on time for their Crew sessions. If you are unsure about your child’s grade level in our system, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school for clarification.
PSAT/SAT (Grades 10 and 11):
Date: Wednesday, April 17th
Students in grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT/SAT on this day. They are expected to be present at school by 8:30 AM. Once the assessment is complete, students will be dismissed. If you are unsure whether your student should participate in these assessments, please contact your Crew teacher for guidance.
We encourage all families to prioritize attendance and punctuality during these testing periods to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
CCHS application is open for the 2024-2025 school year. If you know of any student that would qualify to attend CCHS, please remind them to complete the application and get it submitted.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Have a wonderful weekend!
Warm regards,
Katherine Kerrigan

Residents and workers in Lake County and Leadville—please take this survey about housing challenges!
Lake County and the City of Leadville are conducting a housing needs assessment to understand the current needs of residents. This survey is a critical element of that assessment. This information will help the county and city create programs to better address housing needs.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LakeCountyHousing
Please take this survey if you:
- Live in any part of Lake County the majority of the year.
- Are retired or work in any part of Lake County. This includes if you live outside of the county and commute into Lake County for your job.
Do not take this survey if you own seasonal or vacation properties that you occupy occasionally or own long- or short-term rentals in Lake County.
- Your responses are confidential. Your name or place of residence will not be linked to your survey.
- This survey is not associated with any political party or election or ballot issue.
- The survey takes about 12 minutes to complete. If you complete it by April 30 you will have a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.
Tell your friends, the people you work with, and family members about the survey!
If you require a reasonable accommodation to participate in the survey, please contact hello@rootpolicy.com or call 970-880-1415 x102. An example of a reasonable accommodation would be taking the survey by phone because you have difficulty reading and/or do not have a screen reader that can assist you with the survey.
