CCHS News and Announcements
Greetings CCHS Families,
As the weather warms up, we’re reminded that spring is in full swing, bringing with it exciting opportunities and important reminders for our students.
Firstly, a gentle nudge to parents and guardians: we continue to see some challenges with students arriving on time to their scheduled classes. Your support in emphasizing the importance of punctuality is greatly appreciated. A timely arrival ensures that students maximize their learning opportunities and contribute positively to the classroom environment.
Mark your calendars for Monday, April 15th, as it’s our Workforce Boot Camp Day. Students enrolled in this class should arrive at school promptly by 8:30am. We have an exciting day planned with a Career Tour of the Faricy Boys Dealership and a Welding Shop in Salida. For students unable to attend, alternate assignments will be provided, but their presence at school is still expected.
Additionally, a heads-up for PSAT/SAT testing scheduled for Wednesday, April 17th. This assessment is mandatory for 10th and 11th-grade students in our system. We encourage students to ensure they get a good night’s rest the evening before and arrive promptly at 8:30am. Upon completion of the assessment, students will be released for the remainder of the day.
Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation in helping our students excel academically and prepare for their future endeavors. Your involvement plays a crucial role in their success.
Warm regards,
Katherine Kerrigan

If you know of any students who may benefit from an alternative pathway to high school graduation due to risk factors, please share the application information with them. Together, we can provide support and guidance to ensure every student reaches their full potential. English link here and Spanish link here for application.
