Hello CCHS Families,

We’ve wrapped up another week and are getting closer to the end of the semester. However, we noticed a significant drop in attendance this week, possibly due to the weather on Monday or illnesses. As the weather becomes more challenging, please encourage your child to prepare early, whether CCHS is providing transportation or they’re getting to school on their own. Be mindful of icy roads and frosty windows, and plan extra time in the morning to ensure a safe and timely arrival.

While we understand that illness happens, and we don’t want students at school if they are too sick, we do ask that parents/guardians notify us if their child will be absent. You can call the front office, 719-486-6980, leave a voicemail if no one answers, or text the office cell phone, 719-293-5904. Please remember, if your child has been absent more than 7 days this school year, a doctor’s note will be required. If they are not well, make sure they see a physician so we can keep everything documented.

Parents/Guardians: Have you completed our school climate and culture survey yet? As of yesterday, we’ve only received 10 responses. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping the next steps for our school. Please take a moment to share your thoughts.

We’re also excited to announce that student applications for CCHS enrollment for January 2025 open on Monday, October 28, 2024, and will remain open until Thursday, November 14, 2024. This is for high school students with one or more risk factors who may qualify to attend our alternative education center. If you know of anyone who could benefit from a supportive learning environment like ours, please pass this information along.
