Senior Checklist for college bound students:
1. ACT retakes sign up online at www.act.org
2. Apply for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online in October. New application will be available as of January 1st, go to FAFSA website www.fafsa.ed.gov and apply for you and your child’s PIN number now. There is also a helpful worksheet that will help you fill out the application. File your taxes early!
3. Applications to College(s)
4. Letters of Recommendation 3 or 4
5. Resume

Alpha Sigma Scholarship
Delta Kappa Gamma Society International
Eligibility Requirements:
-Must be a graduating senior woman who is planning to pursue a degree in a field related to education
-Applicant must plan to enroll in an accredited university/college in the upcoming summer or fall term
Bob Piper Construction Education Scholarship (Sponsored by ABC Associated Builders and Contractors)
Purpose: Support and encourage youth to enter construction industry and provide partial funding for their education.
Eligibility Requirements:
*Register at or attending an accredited college/university
*Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
*2 letters of recommendation
*American or Naturalized citizen
Big O Tires Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
-Any high school student that lives in western Colorado
-Must attend higher education in Colorado
-Fill out application from the guidance office

Colorado Association of Legal Support Staff
Eligibility Requirements:
-Declared the legal field as your major or are enrolled in a legal program, such as secretary, court reporter, legal assistant, paralegal, or pre-law concentration
-You are a full time student
-You can demonstrate financial need
Colorado Mason’s Benevolent Fund Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
-Open to all graduating seniors in public schools in Colorado who will attend a school of higher education
-Must complete packet from the Guidance office scholarship room

Colorado Garden Show, INC
Eligibility Requirements:
-Must be an incoming freshmen at a public Colorado college or university
-Must major in one of their recommended fields of study

Colorado Young Farmers Educational Association Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
-Student must be enrolled as a full-time student at a Colorado junior/community college, college or university, and be a Colorado resident

Colorado Insurance and Business Education Foundation
Eligibility Requirements:
-Must graduate High School and attend full time at an accredited college or university
-Major in business/finance
-Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

Eligibility Requirements:
– high school graduate with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
-must have performed notable volunteer contribution in the Hispanic community

Latin American Educational Foundation (LAEF)
Eligibility Requirements:
-Colorado Resident
-Hispanic Heritage and/or involvement in Hispanic community
-Minimum 3.0 accumulative grade point average
-Recipients are required to do 10 community service hours

Eligibility Requirements:
-Must be graduating LCHS Seniors going on to higher education

Sylvia Stoner Memorial Student Grant
P.E.O scholarship application
Eligibility Requirements:
-Graduating Senior girl of Lake County High School
-Resident of Lake County
-Must attend an accredited university or college in upcoming summer or fall term
-Only completed applications received on or before the deadline will be eligible
The Summit Foundation has partnered with local radio stations KSMT and Lift 106 to offer various scholarship opportunities:
*Two monthly scholarships will be given out between the months of Jan. and May.
*** KSMT 102 and Lift 106 scholarships are $1,000.00 each and will be awarded monthly to a senior recognizing their community service and volunteerism
In addition to the monthly scholarships, NRC Broadcasting is offering a Communications Scholarship for $3,000.00; 2 Technical/Vocational Studies scholarships for $2, 500.00 each; and an Agricultural scholarship for $5,000.00
