- CCHS’s first priority group of students will be returning to school for in person learning full time this week. Students who qualify for this opportunity talked about it with CCHS staff during student-led conferences. The first week to come full time is March 30, 31, and April 1. We are excited to have more of you in the building at this time!
- As a reminder to all CCHS students- you are expected to arrive at school between 8am and 9am on your scheduled day. If you would like to eat breakfast before starting school, you must arrive in time to finish eating before 9am. Breakfast is over at 9am. Students ordering lunch and dinner must order before 9am as well. Please do not arrive after 9am and expect to have time to eat before you start your work. You will be asked to wait until the 1st snack break at 10am.
- Full Circle will presenting three sessions in upcoming weeks for students and families to learn about very relevant health related topics. The attached flyer in English and Spanish provides details including dates, times, and registration details. Family Learning Institute
- The SAT (for 11th graders) will be administered on April 13 and the PSAT (for 10th graders) will be administered on April 14. This is an optional test, but a high score can help with college admissions, scholarships, and can satisfy graduation high school requirements. Students must show up on their day of testing on-time at 8:00 am or they won’t be let in. We will do a pre-administration workshop a week or two before the actual test day. Students will not need to bring ID or a testing ticket because HS staff know the students. If they were taking it on a Saturday, which is a National Testing Day they would need to bring ID and their testing ticket.
- The High School office has begun sending out fees balances to all students who are graduating this year. They will arrive in the mail and will have a number inside for you to call (in English and Spanish) if you need to make a payment plan. This is an important detail because as we get closer to graduation only those students who have paid or called about paying will be allowed to participate in the activities related to graduation.
- Calling all athletes: we invite you to join the 2021 track and field team! The season officially starts on April 26, but we will be holding preseason workouts for athletes who are not participating in a C season sport. Preseason practices will be Mondays-Thursdays from 3:45-5:15 pm, starting at the LCHS weight room. Bring clothes to be outside, a mask and your own water bottle. Contact Coach Amy Peters 719-293-0564 with any questions.
- Please come support CCHS students on the field! There are two home soccer games this week.
