CCHS News and Announcements
Students and Parents,
CCHS is having a great first week of school! Just a reminder of how important attendance is. We encourage all students to participate and attend during our DisOrientation days. We have several activities planned during these first two weeks of school which take the entire community of the school to be involved. If your student needs to be absent for any reason, please call Leslee in the front office, 719-486-6980. Tuesday, August 23rd we will be conducting our NWEA Reading and Math exam for all students. This is data we absolutely need to have for students as it is a measure that is useful to them to base their academic goals on, and as a district we must have the data to show the state that students are academically growing in our program. Students will be released early on this day after they complete their assessment. Wednesday, August 24th we will be at Twin Lakes for the day. Students should wear comfortable clothing, appropriate shoes for the outdoors, and should bring a water bottle so that they stay hydrated. Students will have their finalized schedules during the second week of school and will need to be ready to jump into their course work starting Tuesday, August 29th. Again, please reach out to any of us if you have any questions or concerns.

Now that we are up and running, and settling into a regular routine, watch for our regular CCHS News and Announcements on Monday afternoons. Occasionally, we will send out additional special announcements at other times, so be sure to read them as well because they usually contain time sensitive information, or special instructions.
Save the Date: CCHS will host an Open House for students and families on Wednesday, September 14th, 5:30-7:30. Watch for all the details coming soon!
