News From LCHS 6/6/25
Dear LCHS Families,
As we near the end of the 24-25 school year we have a lot to celebrate. Our students have grown in big ways, both in and out of the classroom. From academic progress, to performances and athletics, it has been a full and meaningful year. We are looking forward to finishing strong in the last two weeks. For our 9th-11th students, next week begins our J-Term activities in the afternoon.
Next week we will get to celebrate our graduating seniors. Senior Banners are up on Harrison Avenue. The city will be taking them down the Monday after graduation. Please do not take down banners on your own. Banners can then be picked up at LCHS starting on Tuesday. Please see the end of year schedule for them below.
Here is the senior motorcade route for next Thursday!
The last two days of school (6/18 & 6/19) we will be having finals. Please see the schedule below.
Upcoming End of Year Events

I hope you had the opportunity to watch a performance of Willy Wonka! We have some very talented actors and crew members and amazing staff who pulled together a super fun show!! Congratulations to them all!!
The drama department is holding auditions for the 2025 fall play on Wednesday, June 11! This opportunity is available for any current 8th-11th grade students. Students should sign up for an audition time slot on the door of the auditorium and prepare a 30-60 second monologue.
The weight room will be open from 12:15 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 19, since 7-12 students have early release. If you have a 7th or 8th grader who would like to go to the weight room on Wednesday, please call the office to communicate the plan. Will your student leave school by the time the weight room closes at 2 pm? Or would you like them to head back into school for the directed activities being offered that afternoon? We just want to know where you would like your child to go. Thanks for your help on this!
Training for next year’s seasons has already begun for XC, basketball, volleyball and football. If you haven’t heard from a coach but would like information about open gyms/other activities, please let me know!
LET’S GO PANTHERS!!
