Hello CCHS Students and Families,
Welcome to the unofficial start to summer. Just a reminder for those students who are not graduating this year, we are still in school through June 15th and all students are expected to be here by 8:30 daily other than our specialized events.
Graduates:
Friday, June 2, 2023
8:15 – Graduates are to be at LCHS for graduation walk
8:30 – Depart LCHS to LCIS arrive by 8:45
9:00 – Depart LCIS arrive LCES by 9:20
9:45 – Depart LCES and walk Harrison Ave.
10:30 – Be at CCHS for breakfast (scholarships and voter registration award)
3:00 – Graduation practice at LCHS gym (All CCHS graduates participating in graduation must be in attendance)
4:45 – Meet at LCHS East Parking log off of 4th street for Motorcade
5:00 – Motorcade Route/Map
Saturday, June 3, 2023
8:00 – Must arrive at LCHS – Meet in weight room
8:30 – Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremony
Monday, June 5, 2023
10:00 – Turn in graduation gowns to CCHS
11:00 – Paintballing with Full Circle
Again, with the reminder that school is still in session for all students not graduating until Thursday, June 15, 2023. Each day is Workforce Boot Camp and students are expected everyday all day.
For students who are not graduating this school year, they have Workforce Boot Camp, and the schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, May 30, 2023, students must be in school by 7:45. Please bring permission slips for the field trip. Bring a sack lunch if you are not getting one from the cafeteria, your bag for the overnight, and additional money for any purchases during our two-day college tour. We will be visiting Spring Valley CMC, Northwestern Junior College, and then Grand Junction for the overnight. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, we will tour Western Colorado Community College and then return home. Students who do not attend this are still expected to attend school and will have an alternative activity to complete during this time.
Tuesday, June 6, 2023, Is our public transportation day. Students will be taken to Summit County, and they will learn how to navigate using public transportation. We will be visiting the Breckenridge CMC to learn more about the Culinary and Nursing programs they specialize in and will be headed to the recreation center to learn about the careers and skills necessary to work in that industry.
Wednesday, June 7, 2023, Students will be visiting the sheriff’s office to learn about all the careers and operations of this department and in the afternoon, we will be headed to Heavenly Horse to do some service-learning opportunities with them.
Thursday, June 8, 2023; This is CCHS CMC day. Students will be headed to Colorado Mountain College for the day to tour the facilities, check out all the programs, and learn about all the opportunities they have to offer our young students.
The expectation is that all students are at Cloud City High School participating in our Workforce Boot Camp Days which start at 8:30 a.m. daily and go until the end of the school day.
